Long-time fans of Doom will be pleased to know the new Doom has a number of references and easter eggs that pay homage to the series as whole. SnapMap creators can build their own structures and game logic and then share their creation with others. SnapMap gives players the ability to design their own maps within a powerful and easy-to-use tool. Maybe, the update will happen in next week or it could be revealed at E3 in two months. There’s speculation that an update is bound to happen due to someone posting this on reddit: However, it would definitely help the game out and when there’s an expansion pack, they have to add more stuff to multiplayer and SnapMap, so that pretty much will please me if they do so. I do have some little hope for an expansion pack or single player DLC, but I’m kind of not too keen on it at the same time. I do believe they could be lying because I’m sure Bungie once admitted that Halo 3 was the last Halo they’ll make, but then they released ODST which was an expansion pack to the game and a prequel called Halo: Reach. Many gamers been wanting some sort of single player DLC or expansion, but id has been saying no to that. Then there’s the heart and soul of Doom, the campaign. I also believe they should include the bots in matchmaking and support them for the objective modes. Maybe, buff up the Chaingun with a slight damage increased. I personally feel like the weapon balance has been fine so far after many tweaks to them. I thought it was an interesting twist to the CTF formula that people generally know. I’ve enjoyed a decent amount of them and my favorite one has to be Exodus. I hope there might be a couple more new game modes being added. It kind of sucks when you don’t know what game mode you’re gonna get in the objective bundled playlist and sometimes I just wanna play Soul Harvest for like 3-5 matches.

I understand they grouped up all the objectives together so you can find those matches easily since most people Team Deathmatch and Free For All, but I personally feel like they should try to give some options for those objective modes. I’ve never been the biggest fan of multiplayer for this game, but I do like how they are updating the playlists and implementing new modes to keep people playing it. Hopefully, in the future, id will raise the bar for this in game editor since I believe it’s definitely one of the strongest portion of the game ever since it’s been constantly updated. SnapMap is pretty good in its current situation, but if we could get one more update, I think I’ll be content with what it has to offer. I definitely feel like SnapMap needs some more crucial updates like implementing all of the campaign’s weapon mods, adding more textures for both the modern and classic options, more props for both of them too, have all the Classic Doom soundtrack available for use, fix the online play’s glitches, add the Cyberdemon and Hell Guards, and maybe add more modules to the available themes that SnapMap currently has. I’m sure id is also secretly working on the sequel to Doom since it’s been so successful ever since it launched or they could be working on a sequel to RAGE which I remember they mentioned they’re not done with it yet.
However, I believe this game deserves a couple more updates since I understand developers will have to move on and work on other projects.

I also need to upgrade my PC to run it smoothly too. I still have yet to play it, but I’ve been too busy with Doom and other games, so I just haven’t had the chance to try it out. I understand id Software is currently working on their latest and greatest project, Quake Champions. I’m still having a lot of fun with the game, but I feel like after many months of not having the game updated (it’s been around 5 months), I really want more updates for the game. I played the campaign, multiplayer, SnapMap, and also made maps for myself and other players to play. I’ve been heavily playing Doom (2016) ever since it was first launched last year on May 13.
